Personality:

Aurora is an extremely polite and kind young woman, who is extraordinarily charitable and gentle. She adores many things and is very forgiving. While she might be considered the stereotypical "princess" sort (she is a Disney Princess after all), there is more than just that to the sixteen-year-old. Raised by only women in the middle of the woods for sixteen years, Aurora is rather independent and capable of taking care of herself with a number of skills gained from her life growing up in the forest. The only friends she ever had were the woodland creatures that lived nearby. She grew up a bit lonely, constantly told not to talk to other people and with how deeply she lived in the woods, she never met anyone regardless. She is a smart young woman, quick to spot when something is a bit odd but she is just as quick to let it go or to give things the benefit of the doubt. The young woman is both a dreamer and a realist (leaning more towards the dreamy sort of nature). Whilst she may find solace in the dreams she has, she is very much aware they are just dreams. She has a bit of whimsy in her, even though she is sixteen, she is still willing to play a bit of pretend, singing and dancing with woodland creatures when they try to cheer her up from her moments of sadness.

Aurora wants to be treated like an adult when she knows she should be, and desires to fall in love like a sixteen-year-old girl often will. But Aurora has the good sense to be cautious around people she has never met before although her caution is quick to give way either because of love or deep longing for friends. Aurora can actually get terribly lonely even though she’s never actually spent her life alone but the only people in her life before meeting Phillip were her aunts. Aurora doesn't care about things like status, having fallen in love with a peasant and even when she found out she was a princess, she still wanted to be with the peasant she fell in love with. When she found out she was betrothed to another, she became inconsolable, not caring that she was suddenly a princess about to marry a prince.

Once she found out she was a princess, Aurora also understood that she had several duties and obligations now. Something that is important about Aurora is a key difference between herself and Phillip when it comes to duties and obligations. Whereas Phillip was willing to give up the throne for their love, Aurora was not willing to abandon her kingdom, even though she had never been a part of it. No matter how much Aurora loved Phillip, she knew she had a duty as a princess now. Her family, her kingdom, and the love she had for her aunts and the desire to meet her parents was on par with her love for Phillip. While it broke her heart, Aurora had been willing to give up on her true love to marry a man she had never met only to be with her people, parents, and aunts.

Aurora is generous. She will always help others and see to the happiness of others. She was raised to be the model princess with grace, refinement, dignity, in control of herself, and everything else a princess should exemplify even though she was never told she was a princess by her aunts. She’s a very sheltered child and even though she desires to be treated like an adult, she is still very innocent and naive. She doesn’t have any tendency towards violence.

Aurora is actually able to forgive anyone who may have hurt her as she still loves her aunts despite being told she can never be with the man she loves. Her love is limitless if you can get to her heart, which isn't hard to do. She's very open emotionally with herself and others. When she falls in love with Phillip, she displays her happiness and adoration for everyone to see, dancing and swooning with him and her aunts. When she's upset, she cries openly, not ashamed of that either. When Aurora is eventually reunited with her parents, she's quick to run up and hug them, not caring what a display might show in front of an entire court that has never met her. She even gives a kiss to King Hubert, knowing him as her future father-in-law and therefore, family, despite never having seen him before in her life. This plays into one of Aurora's greater qualities, that she is able to love quickly and deeply. As stated, she was glad to see the parents she never met or knew in sixteen years, regardless she ran up to them, hugging them, and holding onto them tightly. She is also loyal, as she was willing to give up true love for her loyalty to her people, her family, and friends.

One thing Aurora will never resort to, is violence. To some degree, she knows it is necessary but she takes no joy in any sort of fighting. Even though she feels Phillip's triumph over Maleficent was a good thing (on many levels), she herself would have never been able to do harm to Maleficent (justified as she may have been). Aurora will do everything in her power to defend her loved ones, her people, and herself, but she could never actually commit an actual act of violence. When given tough decisions, Aurora will endeavor to find the best solution for everyone. She does not believe in the statement "trying to please everyone, pleases no one."

The princess wants people to be happy. A sixteen-year-old girl, she is rather mature in many regards and just as dreamy and sheltered in others. She feels her joys and sorrows deeply and is a whimsical sort of young woman. She wants adventure and to explore but she will always return home to her family and people, and with Phillip beside her on the adventures. Aurora's heart rests with Phillip, her family, her friends, and her people. There is always room for more people in Aurora's heart. Her love is boundless and she only wants to continue to meet more people and get to experience more of the world. She is a gentle soul and heart.

General Skills/Abilities:

Aurora can actually cook, clean, sew, and knows how to live in a forest as she has lived in one for the first 16 years of her life. She's knowledgeable in what's safe to eat, herbs, berries, and a multitude of plant life. She also knows how to take care of small wounds and sicknesses with herbal treatments.

Despite having her birthright kept secret from her, the three fairies did groom her for being a princess. She can dance, her manners are immaculate, and she is very courteous to people. Aurora can also fix things and build small items as there was only herself and her aunts growing up.

Aurora has a singing voice considered other-worldly and as such, she has a singing voice able to draw animals (and even people) to her. She is, in fact, able to communicate with animals, and befriends them easily. She is also gifted beauty and grace.
